CONNECTION POINTS

This August was our fourth annual Bethel Night with the South Bend Cubs. For the second year in a row, we sold 1,000 tickets to Bethel alumni, staff, faculty and families. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we heard stories of rekindled friendships, experienced great fellowship at the ballpark and even prayed together in the bleachers. We hope you’ll join us next summer! (1, 2) Every 50th reunion manages to be a uniquely special time together on campus. This year was no different as we hosted the Class of 1969 on Commencement Day in May. Classmates enjoyed lunch with the President, a tour of campus, dedication of the Class Gift (a new fire pit by Shiloh Prayer Chapel), and then led the procession into the commencement ceremony—our last commencement as Bethel College. Missy Bayer ’69 greeted the class and prayed a blessing over them. We ended the day with a relaxed reception and time of fellowship that evening. (3, 4)
